Here's another OSR Play Book page for the upcoming Black Pudding #4. It includes an ability check quick-and-dirty rule that accounts for difficulty without too many clunky calculations. I can just say that the wizard needs to make a hard Dex check if he wants to grab that swinging rope. Or whatever. At least it's something that I find usable, others have their own methods.

ReplyDeleteBlack Pudding is awesome. The zine contains NPCs,new character classes, house rules. All done with great humor and style. Issue 4 looks to be more of an enhanced ruleset.
