So I ran a successful solo session of "generic monster-of-the-week hunter" with Mini Six. It went great & was a lot of fun, & I'll probably get back to it at some point.

HOWEVER, I'm having the itch right now to play some "Star Trek" (either FASA or Far Trek most likely). My only concern is the nature of a Trek themed game: the ensemble cast. In the past the longest running & most successful RPG campaign that I ever played in was FASA Trek, adapted to Next Gen. Just myself & one player, we divided up the crew in 1/2 & took turns GM'ing for each other, running our PC's as NPC's as needed.

BUT FOR SOLO, I find the idea of running a whole crew a bit daunting. The Classic model of one main character (Kirk), a supporting character or two (Spock, McCoy) & the rest as "minor" characters (NPC's) would probably be a better fit, but I dunno... :\

My original intention was to run ONE character & ALL the rest of the crew as NPC's, but I have mixed feelings.

Anyone done an "ensemble cast" type game/campaign solo? Manage a whole cast of characters? Run one PC w/ a whole cast of recurring NPC's?

Just curious as to others experiences. :)
