Hopefully I'm resharing properly, I accidentally posted my OMGAM in the wrong place. Sorry!

Hey, my solo OMGAM for October is up.

It's been done for a few days but I just wasn't sure I wanted to release it yet. You know when you work on something so much it starts to look weird and lifeless? Yeah, that.

I wanted to write a horror game with lots of flawed characters to die horribly and suddenly, a real meat grinder. What I think I've done instead is prove that horror's not my thing, haha. The best I can manage is action-adventure with some arbitrariness, I'm afraid.

Bullet points. It's 2d6 pbta style. It's has a strong "cycle" structure that's sudden and unforgiving, and limits you to just a few actions per cycle. It has character playbooks and plentiful tables. And an ensemble cast.

My own play through was amusing but not horrific in the least, if you look past the body count, haha.

Just wondering, has anyone tried using the new Star Trek Adventures solo? I've been a big Trek fan since I was a kid, and I feel like it would be a really cool exercise in storytelling.

Any feedback would be appreciated!

My horror campaign for October, a historical LotFP campaign set in Prague.

Part 1: the setting, which took me way too long....

The finale of my Rolling Solo series where Mythic: Game Master Emulator and Sharp Swords & Sinister Spells come together for an actual play report. Mostly engine-driven prose and thought processes, but there's a brief combat encounter as well.

Thanks to everyone who's followed along with the series and I hope someone has or will find it useful in learning solitaire play. Spoiler Alert: I'm writing an "appendix" follow-up as well, to supply the reader with suggestions to the question, "Now what???"

Scenes 3-6, still not much in the way of horror, but some twists, some bungling action, and the first potential NSFW scene gets interrupted by a mad man with a gun.

Anyways, it'll probably be a week or so before I get to part 3.
